Current Membership Application Guidelines

Clinical practice of uveitis for a minimum of five years. This does not include any time spent as a Fellow.

Ten high quality publications related to uveitis published in peer-reviewed Medline cited journals, of which the candidate should be first author on five.

Two supporting letters from IUSG members, one of who should have personal knowledge of the candidate's practice of uveitis and is from the same country, unless the candidate is from a country that has no IUSG members.

An up-to-date curriculum vitae.

A letter expressing interest in joining the IUSG.

Attendance of the candidate at an IUSG meeting or one sponsored by or affiliated with the IUSG, prior to submitting their application.

Applications should be submitted by email to Prof. PI Murray, Honorary Secretary IUSG (p.i.murray@bham.ac.uk).

A membership sub-committee will review each application and only those candidates fulfilling the above guidelines will be considered for membership - it does not imply automatic acceptance. After due consideration a number of candidates will then be selected to give an oral presentation at an IUSG meeting. An unsuccessful application should not deter candidates from applying for membership in the future.

The form for payment of Membership dues for 2009 and 2010 can be downloaded here.

In view of the large number of applications for 2011, there will be no applications for 2012 and membership will re-open for 2013.
It is likely that the Membership Criteria will change for 2013 applications.
