2nd Uveitis Course IUSG/ICO

The 1st IUSG/International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) sponsored Uveitis Course in Venice, Italy in March 2007 was a great success on both a scientific and human level. It covered all aspects of the specialty. While there were didactic sessions there was an emphasis on one-to-one teaching using case presentations and exciting interactive discussions.

The IUSG, again under the auspices of the ICO, will be organising the 2nd Uveitis Course, which will be held in Venice, Italy between 21-27 February 2009.

It will take place at Venice International University, where participants will reside for the entire duration of the course. Besides covering the whole field of uveitis, special topics will be offered in four small interactive groups: to learn how to evaluate uveitis patients, to rationally develop a differential diagnosis, to interpret fluorescein and indocyanine green angiographic findings, and to optimise immunosuppressive therapy. The interactive program will allow in depth discussion on management of more complicated uveitis issues.

The course will be limited to 54 participants. The faculty is composed of highly experienced IUSG members who are well known for their teaching skills.
